Walter Holdsworth "Wally" Zelkowski, age 62, of Beaverton passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024.

A Celebration of Wally's Life will take place at Blackies Cabins, 303 Park Street, Harrison, MI 48625, on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.

Wally was born on August 9, 1961, in Detroit, son of Walter and Irene (Holdsworth) Zelkowski. Wally worked in the tile and masonry field, working all over the country. In his retirement, he continued to enjoy remodeling homes and working with tile. He was an avid model car collector and loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports.  He had a natural artistic ability personally and professionally, as evidenced by his work on pinewood derby cars, gifts for his grandchildren, motorcycles/automobiles, and large-scale venues. He had a personality that made others feel welcome and respected and was always there to lend a hand to his friends and family. Most important to Wally was spending time with his family.

Wally is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Rufino) Benitez; sons, Charles (Jenna) Zelkowski, and Travis (Sydney Lazic) Zelkowski; grandchildren, Jameson, Trinity, and Maxwell Zelkowski, and Gabriel Benitez; siblings, Tony Witkowski, Susan Corbin, William (Robin) Witkowski, Kelly Witkowski, Natalie Witkowski, and Mary Curtis; uncle, Tony Witkowski; and former spouse, Karla Foster.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, David Zelkowski and Karen Robinson.
