Barbara Ann Guiette-Reese, 80, of Big Sandy, MT, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
Barbara was born on January 15, 1944, in Saginaw, Michigan to Frederick and Elsie (Zanner) Guiette. She graduated from Clare High School in 1961. She attended college at Central Michigan University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1966, followed by a Master of Art degree in 1971. After receiving her master’s degree, she became a teacher in Michigan until she retired. She thrived on learning and was instrumental in establishing the Cavalier 4-H program in Harrison, Michigan.
She had a passion for horses, plants, literature, and was very gifted in painting and crafting. She was always trying to learn something new every day.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Cassandra (Allen) Pomroy of Michigan and Diana (J.R.) LaBuda of Big Sandy of Montana; sister, Mary Jo (Harvey M.) Wright of Harrison, Michigan; brother, William Guiette of Harrison, Michigan; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Elsie of the Harrison/Clare Michigan area; and two daughters, Bobbie Jo (Reese) Wright and RoseAnna Reese.
