Robert “Bob” Cecile Cuvelier, age 71, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Heritage Community of Kalamazoo. Robert was born June 28, 1952, in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Charles C. Cuvelier and Beatrice A. (Lewis) Cuvelier.

Mr. Cuvelier had resided in Battle Creek since 2019, moving from Harrison where he resided for many years. Bob worked for several years at Jay’s Sporting Goods of Clare. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Bob enjoyed tying flies, reading fishing magazines, riding his Harleys and horseback riding, and was known for being a jokester and prankster.

Surviving Mr. Cuvelier are his four loving children: Troy Cuvelier and wife Amber of Augusta, Michigan, Heidi Meade and husband Bill of Albion, Michigan, Chad Cuvelier and wife Tanya of Battle Creek, Michigan and Scott Cuvelier of Midland, Michigan; eleven grandchildren: Shawn Cuvelier, Libby Cuvelier, Seth Cuvelier, Molly Hein, Kayla Cuvelier, Austin Cuvelier, Zack Cuvelier and wife Kari, Alex Jones, Emelie Cuvelier, Charli Cuvelier and Mya Cuvelier: two step-grandchildren: Savannah Ferguson and Preston Ferguson; two great-grandchildren: Bentley Person and Zarina Cuvelier, plus one great-grandchild arriving soon: plus many nieces and nephews. Mr. Cuvelier was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Vivian Dietiker and Marje Lewis; and two brothers: Lewis and Chuck Cuvelier.

Celebration of Life services honoring Mr. Cuvelier will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison.
