Michelle Rose Jewell

               Michelle Rose Jewell age 58 of Harrison passed away Monday, May 18, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center-Midland, surrounded by her family. Michelle was born the daughter of Patricia (Pihajlic) and Robert Thayer. Michelle graduated from Clare High School, class of 1986. She was united in marriage to Mr. Anthony “Tony” Jewell on April 19,2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Michelle had resided in Harrison since 1994.

               Michelle lived with a spirit that was impossible to overlook. Adventurous, compassionate, and full of love. She filled her life and the lives of those around her, with warmth, joy, and belonging. She fully embraced life, and those who shared it with her. Adventure was woven into who she was. She was always ready to explore, experience, and make lasting memories with her friends and family. Always planning her next big adventure. She will be remembered not for the difficulties she faced, but rather for her bravery, resilience, and drive she had to live. She lived boldly, beautifully, and with a heart that made the world a brighter, better place. Her absence leaves an immeasurable space – the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will remain lasting and cherished gifts.

               Surviving Michelle is her loving husband, Anthony “Tony” Jewell of Harrison, four children; Chelsea Hyatt and husband Brian of Harrison, TJ Schanhals and wife Haley also of Harrison, Seth Jewell and Crystal Bovia of Gladwin, Michigan and Kiri Jewell of Harrison, two grandchildren; Brian Hyatt Jr. and Layne Herweyer, two sisters; Paulette Thompson of Galesburg, Michigan and Nichole Alexander and husband Clark of Farwell, Michigan, one brother, Anthony Thayer and wife Shanee of Clare, plus many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Michelle was preceded in death by her parents.

               Celebration of Life services honoring Michelle will be held Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel, 165 West Oak Street, Harrison, with Pastor Connie Bongard officiating. A time of gathering will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial gifts in memory of Michelle may be considered to the Jewell Family, in care of: Anthony Jewell. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
