Samantha Rose Barnes

Samantha Rose Barnes, age 43, tragically passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, in Clare County, Michigan. Samantha was born on December 16, 1982, to Olin Gleason and the late Mary Richard. Known for her bright red hair, beautiful freckles, and a warm, kind smile, Samantha had a gentle spirit that brought immense joy to those who loved her. She found comfort and community during her time in Harrison, Michigan, and her presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her beloved father, Olin Gleason, and stepmother, Alice Gleason; her devoted older brother, Butch Richard, and his wife; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Richard, as well as her beloved wife, Amy Barnes, who passed away alongside her.

The family is assisted by Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel & Cremation Service in Harrison. Memorial services will be held privately by the family at a later date.
