Eulalio “Lalo” Lopez of Harrison, Mi., passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at MyMichigan Medical Center-Midland while surrounded by his loving children. Lalo was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Lopez, daughter Shelley Lopez, son-in-law, Jesse Ramirez, mother, Guadalupe Esquivel, and brother, Francisco Mena. He is survived by his children; Rachell Ramirez, Frank Lopez and girlfriend Amber Morgan, David Lopez and wife Nickole Lopez, and Norma Lopez-Pomeroy and husband Andrew Pomeroy, grandchildren; Jaeden Carr and husband Landen Carr and Norah Lopez, great-grandson, Lane Carr, brothers and sisters; Ermila Lopez, Anna Castillo, Frances Uruza, Mary Muga, Ramona Hernandez, Daniel Lopez Jr., and Tony Esquivel, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family that he loved so much.
Lalo was born in Los Angeles, California on September 5, 1957. He was one of nine siblings. He spent his childhood getting into all kinds of trouble. Being one of the youngest of his siblings, he always had a group of people to protect him and help teach him right from wrong. Lalo enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country in active duty overseas in Germany for just under three years.
After is time in the service, he worked around Los Angeles providing for his oldest daughter Rachell. After meeting Bonnie, the love of his life, their sons; Frank and David were born. They stayed in LA until 1994, before moving to Harrison. In Michigan, they worked on making a simple cabin into a home with the help of their family. They then had their youngest daughter, Norma “Jeanie”. Though Lalo provided for his family in many ways, his biggest accomplishment was the small business Bonnie and him worked together; Harrison Flooring and More.
In his spare time, Lalo helped his sons and many others as a leader in the Boy Scout Troop #649. He took joy in being outdoors until the sun went down, taking care of his gardens, building simple to extravagant bird houses, and spending time tinkering with things in his garage. No matter who you were, Lalo made an impact on your life. With a handshake, a smile, a small piece of advice. He is a man who will be greatly missed by many.
