Douglas Lloyd Meek

               Douglas Lloyd Meek age 67 of Harrison passed away peacefully Saturday, July 27, 2024 at North Woods Nursing Center-Farwell. Douglas was born May 17, 1957 in Flint, Michigan the son of Lloyd and Theodora (Quillen) Meek.

               Mr. Meek had resided in Harrison since the 1980’s moving from Flint. During his high school years, Doug was an accomplished speed skater. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and watching televised golf tournaments, Detroit Lions Football, University of Michigan Football and action movies.

               Surviving Mr. Meek are his two daughters, Angie Eichhorn and husband Dennis of Harrison and Katie Staley and husband Robert of Coleman, Michigan, three grandchildren; Tristen Bissell(Brianna Guzman), Emma Staley and Sara Staley, two great-grandchildren; Elliot and Violet Bissell, one sister, Diane Thompson and husband Terry of Harrison, two brothers; Dennis Meek and wife Gaylynn of Clio, Michigan and Dean Meek and wife Brenda of Fowlerville, Michigan, sister-in-law, Beth Meek of Burton, Michigan, plus a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Danny Meek, Donny Meek and David Meek.
