MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - Due to high temperatures and forecasted storms, the single-lane closure on southbound US-127 at the Bailey Drive overpass in Clare County has been postponed. Work was originally scheduled to begin today, June 23, to repair damage to the structure from a previous high-load hit using heat straightening.
This work will be rescheduled for a future date and will be announced in advance.
The westbound lane of Bailey Drive over southbound US-127 in Clare County was closed in May after the high-load hit was discovered. This lane closure will remain in effect until repairs are made to the structure.
