With heavy hearts and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of our beloved Paula Ransom on June 25, 2026. Surrounded by the love of her family, Paula peacefully went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing she is whole again, free from pain, and embraced by God's eternal love.
Paula was the heart of her family and the heart of every gathering. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome, loved, and accepted. She believed family wasn't only who you were born to, but who you chose to love. Her kindness, strength, unwavering faith, and generous spirit touched countless lives, and her legacy will continue through every person she inspired.
Paula found joy in God's creation. She loved the beauty of the woods, the songs of birds, blooming flowers, evenings around the campfire, and the peace that only nature can provide. She taught those around her to slow down, appreciate the simple blessings in life, and love others fiercely.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Roger; her sons, Graham (Pam) Lemons and Derek Lemons; her cherished grandchildren, Maggie Kimble, Evie Lemons, and Derek (Jelissa) Lemons; her beloved great-grandchildren, Logan Delgado and Nova Delgado; her beloved dog, Mic; and many treasured family members and lifelong friends.
She is also survived by her siblings, Helen Molic, Robert Gramze, Thomas Gramze, and Keith Hubbell.
Paula was preceded in death by her father, Robert Gramze; her mother, Helena Hubbell; and her sister, Maxine Chartier.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Tammy Garcia, Helen Molic, Jeanette Hoberek, and all who surrounded Paula and Roger with love, compassion, prayers, and support throughout her journey. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
In honoring Paula's wishes, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at the camp she loved so dearly, where family and friends can gather to share stories, laughter, and memories—the very things Paula treasured most. Details will be shared as they become available.
Although Paula is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in every blooming flower, every walk through the woods, every bird singing in the trees, every campfire surrounded by family and friends, and every act of kindness shared in her memory.
"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord."
