Kaleb Ray Cook, of Cheboygan, Michigan, pleaded no contest in two separate files on Oct. 7, 2024. In one file he pleaded no contest to Attempt Criminal Sexual Conduct 2^nd Degree. This conviction was the result of an investigation conducted by the City of Clare Police Department in early 2024. In the other file he pleaded no contest to Child Sexually Abusive Activity and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime. These convictions were also the result of an investigation conducted by the City of Clare Police Department in late 2023.

Cook was sentenced to prison on Dec. 16, 2024, to serve 23 months to 5 years; 46 months to 20 years; and, 46 months to 20 years respectively, with 73 days credit for time already served. He was also ordered to pay a grand total of $1,264 in fines and costs.
