Harrison Knights of Columbus Council 7571 Donates Tootsie Roll Sale Proceeds to Area School

The Clare-Gladwin Area School recently received a generous donation of $1,709.92 from the Harrison Knights of Columbus Council 7571 through their annual Tootsie Roll Sale. Representative Mike Dushan presented the check to Area School Principal Beth Wood on behalf of the Council.

Each year, the school is deeply touched by the kindness and continued support of local K of C groups who choose to give back to students with special needs across the community. These funds directly benefit students in the center-based program by providing materials and experiences that help them learn, grow, and thrive.

Donations have supported playground equipment for active play, sensory tools that help students regulate and stay engaged, specialized communication tools that give students a voice in their learning, and classroom materials that build independence. The funds have also helped support field trips and special events that create lasting memories.

The Clare-Gladwin Area School is sincerely thankful for the compassion shown by the Harrison Knights of Columbus Council 7571, Representative Mike Dushan, and all who participate in the Tootsie Roll campaign. This generosity helps create joyful, inclusive learning experiences for students who depend on the care and support of this wonderful community.
