The Harrison baseball team played down at Shepherd on Wednesday, May 14. The Hornets lost the opener 15-5, and game two of the scheduled JPC twinbill was canceled due to weather.
“One of our better games of the year,” head coach Nick Halm said.
Russell Davis took the loss, going four innings and allowing seven runs and walking two. Gavin Vanburen pitched in relief, striking out one batter.
Matt Latunski led the offense with three hits and one RBI. Adding one hit each was Davis, Casey Brand, Kegan Chaskey (two RBI) and Kaleb Williams.
Harrison also lost two JPC contests at Clare on Tuesday, May 13; 12-2 and 15-0.
Logan Williams took the loss in game one, with Chaskey throwing in relief.
On offense, L. Williams had two hits and one RBI while K. Williams, Chaskey and Brand all had one hit apiece.
Harrison hosted Farwell on Monday, played at home against Beaverton on Tuesday, will be at Meridian on Friday and they’ll play in the Division 3 district at Evart on Saturday, May 31.
