Friday Night Delight, a Delight for County Music Fans

HARRISON – The last Friday Night Delight concert of Summer 2026 was up against two formidable obstacles: a temperature in the low 80s, and the Clare County Fair which was drawing attendees in droves.

However, that did nothing to stymie the enthusiasm and fun-loving performance of The Rodeo Band or the appreciation of an audience filled with lovers of country music.

As the evening continued, more and more people filtered in, and those who had taken refuge in the shade alongside the south side of the Town Square shifted into the new shade created in front of the performance pavilion as the sun sank lower in the western sky.

Band members Dean (from Bay City), Brian (originally from Farwell), now Coleman), Randy (from St. Charles), and Jimmy (from Saginaw) kept the mood light by exchanging life-related humorous stories and some one-liners delivered as zings to their bandmates. They also offered a mood-molding rendition of Vince Gill’s classic “Look at Us” which saw many couples quietly clasping each other’s hands.

The food truck on hand for the final Delight was Food Bros, and attendees wasted no time getting to their window once intermission began. Others snagged some of that good food during the performance as well.

Sponsoring this concert was Realtor® Robin Witkowski, who is no stranger to supporting this community-friendly series.

Perhaps one special part of the evening that went either unnoticed or unappreciated by most attendees was the sidewalk chalk art that was happening on the splash pad surround, courtesy of a couple young artists. It illustrated the ability of kids to always find a way to amuse themselves and, if viewed from a musical perspective, it could be called a “Kids’ Clef Creation.”
