Gladwin County Press Release
On Monday, August 17, 2026 at approximately 4:25 p.m. deputies from the Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office were called to investigate a personal injury accident involving an ATV on McCulloch Rd. south of Calhoun Rd. within Beaverton Township.
Tragically, the operator of the ATV, (28) year old Austin McCulloch of Beaverton, did not survive the crash. The on-scene investigation indicated Mr. McCulloch was traveling northbound on McCulloch Rd. before losing control of the involved ATV a 2023, Can-Am, Outlander, 4x4 quad-runner.
At this time, it is believed no other vehicle was involved. The crash is still under investigation and no assumptions will be made as to the cause of the crash.
The Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by members of Beaverton Fire & Rescue and medical professionals from My-Michigan Ambulance Service.
