Farwell let a two-set lead slip away. The Lady Eagles fortunately regrouped in time for the fifth set, and they were able to claim a hard-fought Jack Pine Conference victory on Wednesday, Sept. 25, topping visiting Pinconning 25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 24-26 and 15-9.

“The win helped our team realize their resilience and grit,” head coach Stephanie Brown said. “They had to work hard during the five sets and came together to make a ‘W’ a reality. With a young team, we have challenges; however, through a lot of specialized practice, we are growing both mentally and physically. The win is a great confident booster as we head into (future league games).”

The Eagles were led in the attack by Hunter Green who had 12 kills and Addy Radtke had 11 kills. Macie Carrow had a solid night at the service line, getting two aces and serving at 96-percent. Ella Norbury served 94-percent and found the floor on four aces and Nora Z. had six aces and served at 94-percent.

Farwell (2-2 JPC) was at home in a league match with St. Louis on Wednesday and will also head to Harrison on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
