Community Invited to the Clare County Fair: Home Arts Auction Aug. 1

Posted

The Clare County 4-H Program, in collaboration with the Clare County Fair, is welcoming community members and supporters to attend the Home Arts Auction, set to take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1 in the Grandstand Area of the Clare County Fairgrounds.

This marks the second annual auction of its kind in Clare County, following the successful event last year. The auction will showcase around 50 local 4-H youth who have created a variety of handmade and home-prepared projects—ranging from cheesecake, cookies, birdhouses, cornhole boards and porch sign to holiday décor and more.

Community members are encouraged to attend and show their support by bidding on these unique items. As an added bonus, light refreshments will be provided for buyers during the event. Buyers may register for numbers starting at 9:30 a.m.

Perishable items will be available for immediate pickup after the auction. Non-perishable items will remain on display throughout fair week and delivered to winning bidders afterwards.

Proceeds from the auction will go directly to the participating youth, helping to encourage entrepreneurship, creativity, and engagement in the 4-H program. A small portion of each sale will support the ongoing efforts of the Clare County 4-H Council.

Community support plays a vital role in the success of 4-H programs, and this auction provides a new opportunity for local residents to get involved while enjoying the talents of Clare County youth.
