Coker Back in Court -Arraignment in 30th Circuit Court on Wednesday, July 22

In May, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced that David Coker Jr., founder of the Complete Health Park in Clare, was bound over to stand trial in the 30th Circuit Court. Following a preliminary examination, Judge Kristen D. Simmons ruled that probable cause exists, sending the case to the Ingham County Circuit Court.

He faces multiple felony charges, including Conducting a Criminal Enterprise, False Pretenses, and Embezzlement, for allegedly misusing a $25 million state legislative grant.

Arraignment in 30th Circuit Court, Ingham County, Lansing will take place at 8:30 a.m. on  Wednesday, July 22.

According to the Michigan Attorney General Coker was bound over to stand trial on the following charges:

  • One count of Conducting a Criminal Enterprise, a 20-year felony;
  • Three counts of False Pretenses - $100,000.00 or More, a 20-year felony;
  • Two counts of Embezzlement - $100,000.00 or More, a 20-year felony; and
  • One count of Misappropriation of Public Monies, a high misdemeanor punishable by a term of incarceration up to 2 years in duration.
