Clayton Vernon Norman, age 95, of Harrison passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at home under the care of Heartland Hospice

Funeral Services for Clayton will be held at Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ron Callen officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Township Cemetery. A Luncheon will follow the Committal Service at Community Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel the day of the service from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Clayton was born on January 11, 1931, in Clare County, son of Robert James and Genevieve "Ruth" (Blaisdell) Norman. Clayton married the love of his life, Donna May Mathews on September 15, 1952. The two of them were lifelong farmers. Clayton also spent many years logging and loved wood working. He enjoyed crafting tractors, trailers, barns, and houses. Clayton also enjoyed traveling and berry picking. He was an avid gardener and loved caring for his roses.

Clayton is survived by children, Connie Knight, Phil Norman, Bonnie Fry, Noel Norman, and Lila Goodenow; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Roberta "Sis" Mathews; and many nieces and nephews.

Clayton was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Donna Norman in 2022; parents; grandson, Timothy Goodenow; great-great-grandson, Sabestion; brother, Robert "Junior" Norman; and son-in-law, Clinton Goodenow.
