Cadillac, MI — The Cadillac Area Land Conservancy invites the public to celebrate and learn about land conservation at its annual meeting on Sunday, October 18 at 2:00 pm at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center. Guests are invited to arrive at 1:30 p.m. for networking and donuts.
Bob Garner, host of the PBS show Ask Michigan DNR and former producer and host of Michigan Outdoors and Michigan Out-of-Doors, and Mark Tonello, a Michigan DNR fisheries biologist, will be the special guests. Both are Northern Michigan residents.
“Bob helped establish the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, which has played an important role in protecting thousands of acres across our beautiful state. Mark has been a fisheries biologist for 28 years,” said Cadillac Area Land Conservancy Executive Director Chris Genty. “Their conservation work closely aligns with the mission of the Cadillac Area Land Conservancy.”
“Everyone is welcome to attend,” Genty said. “We’ll share updates on our land preservation work and answer questions from landowners interested in protecting their land. This year, we’re also excited to offer guests an introduction to conservation storytelling and an opportunity to learn more about DNR fisheries. And, of course, everyone is invited to attend our business meeting.”
