Corrections Officer Arraigned

 HARRISON – The Clare County Sheriff’s Office has released the following information regarding an incident involving one of its corrections officers.

 On Feb. 7, Clare County Sheriff, John Wilson issued a statement that there was an open, ongoing investigation by the Michigan Sheriff’s Association, into allegations of misconduct, involving a Clare County Corrections officer. At that time, no further information regarding the investigation was being released, as the matter was still being actively investigated.

On March 13, Clare County Prosecuting Attorney Michelle Ambrozaitis authorized an arrest warrant for the officer.

On March 14, 53-year-old Jake Tessner was arraigned in 80th District Court by magistrate Steven Worpell on the charge of Criminal Sexual Conduct-2nd degree set forth by Clare County Prosecutor Michelle Ambrozaitis. Bond was set at $50,000 cash surety. He remained lodged at that time.

Tessner has now posted bond and has resigned from the CCSO.
