ROBERT LEE SHARP
MAY 17, 1931 ~ SEPTEMBER 5, 2009

Robert Lee Sharp, 78, of Harrison
went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2009, after a long
illness. Mr. Sharp was born May 17, 1931 in Clare County, Michigan, the
son of Otto and Ellen (Fox) Sharp. Mr. Sharp served his country in the
United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Robert was united in
marriage to the former Ethel L. Matthews on July 29, 1952 in Clare
County.
Robert was a member of the John J. Carton Masonic Lodge #436 of
Harrison. Mr. Sharp enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and
being their number one fan, fishing, watching the Loons on Arnold Lake,
picking blackberries and watching the Detroit Red Wings.
Surviving is his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Ethel L. Sharp
of Harrison, one son, Tim Sharp and wife Anna of Harrison, two
daughters: Carla Lipovsky and husband Dan of Harrison and Sonia Hodges
and husband Allen of Greenville, South Carolina, nine grandchildren:
Sean Lipovsky and wife MaryAnn of Midland, Michigan, Ian Lipovsky of
Denver, Colorado, Rebekah Campbell and husband Joel of Greenville, South
Carolina, Rachel Curling and husband Juan of Donna, Texas, Ruth Phillips
and husband Brian of Greenville, South Carolina, Lydia Hodges also of
Greenville, South Carolina, Seth Sharp, Tanner Sharp and Olivia Sharp
all of Harrison, six great-grandchildren: Jonas Lipovsky, Caeden
Campbell, Gallilee Curling, Braden Curling, Arthur Phillips and Pelham
Phillips, one brother, William Sharp and wife Mary Jo of Harrison, one
sister, Phyliss Woodworth of Charlotte, Michigan, plus numerous nieces
and nephews. Mr. Sharp was preceded in death by his parents, one
brother, Eugene Sharp and one sister, Eileen Campbell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, September 9,
2009 at 11:00 a.m. from Brown Corners United Brethren In Christ Church,
Clare with Pastor Chuck Malson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant
Plains Cemetery, Harrison. Visitation will be held Monday, September 7,
2009 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 2:00-8:00
p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Memorial contributions in

BULLARD-MATHIS
Elaine Grace (Lanny) Bullard-Mathis, age 57 of Constantine, passed
away Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 at her home. Lanny was born in
Lansing, MI on July 14, 1952, a daughter of Keith L. and Phyllis Lee
(Haskell) Bullard. She graduated from Harrison High School in 1970 and
attended Mid Michigan Community College, receiving her certification as
a Nursing Assistant. On November 5, 2006 she married George Mathis in
Harrison.
Lanny worked as a Nursing Assistant, staffing secretary, and in
medical records at Tender Care Nursing home in Clare, MI. She was a
member of the Harrison Church of God where she taught Sunday school and
played an active role in the church. Elaine was the most kind and loving
person. She was devoted to her family and helped raise her nephew.
Following retirement, Lanny volunteered at Tender Care and at her church
with teen Bible study. Lanny brought love and joy to every life she
touched.
Surviving Lanny are her son Phillip Bullard, White Pigeon, nephew
Jason Bender, Centreville, granddaughter Ashlynn Bree Bullard, White
Pigeon, parents Keith and Phyllis Bullard, Constantine, husband George
Mathis, Egg Harbor, NJ, sisters Beverly Klein, Constantine, Debra Gee,
Harrison, MI, and brother Michael Bullard, Constantine, also her long
time friend Glenda Rauch of Harrison. She was preceded in death by her
grandparents, Harriet and Gerald Haskell and Grace and Claude Bullard
and several aunts and uncles.
Religious Services were held at 2:00 PM on Friday, at the Eley
Funeral Home in Constantine with Pastor Bud Granger officiating.
Interment will be in the Constantine Cemetery. Memorial contributions

PERRY "BUTCH" EUGENE RAILER JR.
MARCH 5, 1950 - SEPTEMBER 7, 2009
Perry "Butch" Eugene
Railer Jr., 59, of Lake George, passed away Monday, September 7,
2009 at Mid Michigan Medical Center-Clare. Mr. Railer was born March 5,
1950 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Perry Eugene Railer Sr. and
Loraine Bryant. Mr. Railer was united in marriage to the former Marjorie
Phillips on March 16, 1968 in Alto, Michigan.
Butch had resided in Lake George since 1987, coming from Lansing.
Butch enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, camping with his family and
spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his loving wife of forty-one years, Marjorie Railer of
Lake George, one daughter, Marcy Wonsey and husband Chad of Harrison,
two sons: Michael Railer of Lake Geoege and James Railer and wife Irene
also of Lake George, his father, Perry E. Railer Sr. of Lansing, two
sisters: Mary Granado and husband Domingo of Lansing and Mabel Railer
also of Lansing, four grandchildren: Chelsae King, Joshua King, Autumn
Wonsey and James Railer, one step-grandson, Chad Johnson, plus numerous
nieces and nephews. Mr. Railer was preceded in death by his mother,
Loraine Railer.
Visitation services for Butch will be held Thursday, September 10,
2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison.

RICHARD C. CHAPP
Richard C. Chapp,
age 84, of Harrison, passed away at Tendercare Nursing Home Clare on
Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Richard had been a resident of Harrison
since 1986, coming here from Warren, Michigan.
Richard is survived by his children Gary (Helga) Chapp, Jeffrey
Chapp, Lori (John) Jeske, and grandchildren Aurora Chapp and Noah Chapp.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Julianne, son Daniel
Chapp, and daughter-in-law Nina Chapp, and brothers Harry, Walter, Jim,
Leonard, and Joe.
He served his country during WWII in the army as a medic and was
awarded the bronze star. He retired in 1986 after a 39 year career as an
engineer at Chrysler and General Dynamics. In his leisure time, he
enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and photography. He was active in St.
Athanasius Church and served as an usher, and was also a member of the
Knights of Columbus. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Visitation was held Sunday September 13, 2009 from 3:00-9:00 P.M.
at Wujek-Calcaterra Funeral Home, Sterling Heights, MI. Funeral Services
were held Monday September 14, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Augustine
Catholic Church, Richmond, MI. He was laid to rest at St. Michael
Cemetery, Richmond, MI. In lieu of flowers, please consider a

LYNN R. KERBER
Lynn R. Kerber,
loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and
steadfast friend, died Friday, September 18, 2009. He was 83 years old;
born in Sandusky, Ohio on July 20, 1926. Lynn retired from North
American Steel Corporation in 1991. He was a decorated World War II
veteran, having served with the U.S. Army in the Philippines and Korea,
and was an honorary Life-time member of the Royal Oak Elks.
He will be missed by his wife Diana, his sons Bob and Sam Allinder
and daughter Patti Felt, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren,
Diana's children, three brothers, and countless friends. His humor,
compassion and strength of character have left lasting impressions in
the hearts of everyone who knew him. Lynn was laid to rest in the Great
Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.
