RICHARD “DICK” W. HASKIN

   Richard W. Haskin, 83 of Harrison, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2006 at his home. Mr. Haskin was born July 29, 1923 in Covington, Kentucky, the son of Howard and Ada (French) Haskin. Dick was united in marriage to Wilma “Billie” Marie Neff on October 1, 1943 in Ferndale, Michigan; Mrs. Haskin preceded Dick in death on February 28, 2002. Dick served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Haskin had resided in Harrison since 1965, coming from Birmingham, Michigan.
   In 1965, Mr. and Mrs. Haskin purchased the Hoffman Sunoco Service Station which then was renamed; Haskin’s Service, which they owned and operated for twenty seven years. Dick drove school bus for Harrison Community Schools for fourteen years. Dick enjoyed woodworking especially making furniture for his family and friends; he also enjoyed fishing and deer hunting.
    Surviving are his two sons; Ronald Haskin and wife Kareen of Kea’au, Hawaii, Donald Haskin and wife Janice of Harrison, one daughter; Gail Braman of Battle Creek, Michigan, one brother; William Haskin and wife Laurel of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 2 half brothers; Howard Haskin of Harrison and Robert Dale Haskin and wife Linda of Foley, Alabama, and a half sister; Betty Neff and husband James of Harrison, seven grandchildren; Wayne Haskin and wife Becky, Andrea McCrary and husband Mark, Kristen Haskin, Jeffrey Haskin and fiancee Christine Baca, Lisa Braman, Laura Sebright and Patty Braman, five great grandchildren; Justin Evers, Jasmine Haskin, Brittany Haskin, Ryan Haskin and Tyler Sebright, a very special friend and companion; Jeanie Richards of Harrison. Mr. Haskin also was preceded in death by his parents.
   Funeral services were held on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Dr. Reverend James Harwood and Reverend Gerald Baxter officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Haskin may be considered to: Heartland Hospice-Clare County or Pardee Cancer Foundation of Clare County. DAVID EARL WILLER

   David Earl Willer, age 79 of Harrison, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw. Mr. Willer was born January 7, 1927 in Vernal, Utah, the son of Guy and Caroline (Fidler) Willer. Mr. Willer served in the United States Navy during World War II. David was united in marriage to Marjorie M. Swartz on March 3, 1951 in Angola, Indiana.
   Mr. Willer had resided in Harrison since 1996, coming from Fenton, Michigan. David owned and operated Willer Refinishing in Fenton for twenty five years. Mr. Willer enjoyed duck hunting, deer hunting, fishing, trapping beaver and bird watching. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family and caring for his dogs.
   Surviving are his loving wife; Marjorie M. Willer of Harrison, one son; Gary Willer and wife Missy also of Harrison, one daughter; Anne Willer of Flint, Michigan, one brother; Robert Willer of Milford, Michigan, one sister; Helen and husband Ray of Howell, Michigan, two grandchildren; Amanda Willer of Coral Springs, Florida and Scott Willer of Harrison, a very special friend; Dick Fisher of Fenton. The Willer family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center of Saginaw. David was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Della White.
   Memorial services for Mr. Willer will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Reverend Lee Palmer officiating. NATASHA FAYE GARDELLA

   Natasha Faye Gardella, 20 of Harrison passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 in an automobile accident in Roscommon County, Michigan. Natasha was born August 6, 1986 in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the daughter of Andrew J. and Laura Marie (Hall) Gardella. Ms. Gardella had resided in Harrison since 2003, coming from Redford, Michigan.
   Natasha attended church at Leota Community Church, Leota, Michigan and had attended church at Grace Christian Fellowship of Livonia, Michigan prior to moving to Harrison. Natasha loved drawing, writing, making people laugh and cooking. She had endless love for her brothers and sisters.
   Surviving are her loving parents; Andrew and Laura Gardella of Harrison, five brothers; Justin Gardella and Fiancee; Angel Jetton of Harrison, Philip Gardella, Brendan Gardella, Anthony Gardella and Shane Gardella all of Harrison, two sisters; Tiffany Gardella and Amanda Gardella both of Harrison, maternal grandparents; Shirley Welsen and husband Carl of Gregory, Michigan, paternal grandparents; Howard Gardella and wife Luella of Novi, Michigan, maternal great grandmother; Easter Compton of Vansant, Virginia, maternal aunts and uncles; Leana “Nana” Ritchie and husband Bill of Commerce Twp., Michigan, Jeremy Welsen of Gregory, paternal aunts and uncles; Howard Gardella of Detroit, Michigan, Mike Gardella and wife Nancy of Farmington, Michigan, Kathy Gardella of Novi, Michigan and Liz Wooden and husband Vern of Lansing, Michigan, her precious niece; Mariah Gardella of Harrison, fourteen cousins; Anna Hunter, Michael Gardella, Andy Wooden, Howard Gardella, Josh Wooden, Jennifer Gardella, Tom Wooden, Nick Wooden, Billy Ritchie, Danielle Gardella, Katie Ritchie, Kirsten Wooden, Kira Wooden and Asia Wooden, her sweetheart; Chet Rieser of Redford, Michigan and many loving friends. Natasha was preceded in death by her maternal great grandfather; Grady Compton.
   Memorial services were held on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from Leota Community Church, with Reverend Jerry Britton officiating. WALTER (BUTCH) J. SNYR JR.

   Walter (Butch) Joseph Snyr Jr., 57 of Harrison, passed away on Saturday, October 7,2006 at his home. Mr. Snyr was born July 31, 1949 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Walter Joseph and Irene L. (Gierucki) Snyr. Butch had resided in Harrison since 1992, coming from Garden City, Michigan.
   Butch enjoyed going to the casino and traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada, to visit his family.
   Surviving are his sister; Sandra Bernard and husband Roger of Harrison, one brother; Matthew Snyr and wife Sherry also of Harrison, two nephews; Douglas Snyr and Brace Snyr and wife Alanna, one great niece; Nicole Snyr and one great-great nephew; Travis Petrowski. Mr. Snyr was preceded in death by his mother and father.
   Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Father Noel Rudy officiating.
