AMANDA J. MERCHANT
Amanda J. Merchant,
age 88, of Harrison, Michigan, passed away on Friday, November 07, 2008
at her home in Harrison. Mrs. Merchant was born the daughter of John and
Helen (St. John) Mossell on June 19, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan. On
January 21, 1950, she was united in marriage to Charles B. Merchant in
Bowling Green, Ohio. Mr. Merchant preceded her in death on January 23,
1983. In her spare time, Amanda enjoyed tending to her home, needle
crafting, and crocheting. She had lived in the Harrison area since 1970,
where she had moved from Troy, Michigan.
She is survived by her three sons, Carl (MaryAnn) Dominiak of Cape
Coral, Florida, John Merchant of Fort Myers, Florida, and Ronald
Merchant of Harrison, Michigan; her three daughters, Charlene (Jim)
Steen of Fort Myers, Florida, Judith Brabbs of Punta Gorda, Florida, and
Elizabeth Carroll of Harrison; her eleven grandchildren, many
great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded
in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and three sisters.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 from 4:00
- 8:00 p.m. at the Stocking Funeral Home in Harrison, Michigan. Funeral
services will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
at the Stocking Funeral Home with Sister Jean T. Baumann, OSF
officiating. Burial will take place in the Hayes Township Cemetery in
Harrison. Memorial contributions may be made to Mid Michigan Homecare.

VALERA M. FERGUSON

Valera M. Ferguson, 91, of Valrico,
Florida, formerly of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at
Sun City Hospice House, Ruskin, Florida. Valera was born October 7, 1917
in Mannington, West Virginia, the daughter of Guy and Eva (Shock)
Glover. Valera was united in marriage to Mr. Jack E. Ferguson on
September 15, 1935 in Hundred, West Virginia. Mr. Ferguson preceded
Valera in death on April 12, 1989.
Mrs. Ferguson had resided in Harrison since 1941, coming from
Mannington, West Virginia. She moved to Valrico, from Harrison in 2008.
Valera was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 408 of
Harrison and a member of the First Congregational Church, Harrison.
Valera loved traveling, golfing, bowling, helping with church activities
and was very active in her Bridge Club.
Surviving is her loving daughter, Beverly Rose and husband Doug of
Harrison, two loving sons: Donald Ferguson and wife Joanne of Grayling,
Michigan and David Ferguson and wife Kathy of Sarasota, Florida, one
sister, Shirley Michael and husband John of Chelsea, Michigan, a
brother-in-law, Harold Huey of Glen Allen, Virginia, five grandchildren:
Timothy Ferguson, Jack Rose and wife Beth, Shelley Sgrazzutti and
husband Steve, Nick Ferguson and wife Sara and Eric Ferguson and wife
Tamara, five great-grandchildren: Amanda Sgrazzutti, Anthony Sgrazzutti,
Douglas A. Rose, Bradley Rose and Nikki Rose, plus many nieces and
nephews and numerous friends. Valera also was preceded in death by her
parents and one sister, EP Huey.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.
from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Rev. Gerald Baxter
officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison. An Order of
Eastern Star memorial service was conducted Friday, November 21, 2008 at
7:00 p.m. under the Auspices of the Order of Easter Star Chapter 408 of
Harrison. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Ferguson may be

KATHRYN BEAN
Kathryn Bean, age
55, of Harrison, passed away October 16 at Central Michigan Community
Hospital.
She was born April 29,1953 in Lakeview, the daughter of Donald and
Melba (Morris) Male. During her working years she worked as a cashier.
Kathryn loved dolls, playing musical instruments, cooking and
spending time with children. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in
Harrison.
Surviving are; her fiancé; Tim Gage of Harrison, one son; David W.
Cook Jr. of Grand Rapids, two grandchildren; David Cook III, Corey Cook,
four brothers; Cecil of Dewitt, James of FL, Robert of Lakeview, Raymond
of FL, Marilyn Gambill of Augres, several nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial will take place, Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 1pm at the
VFW Post 1075 of Harrison, with luncheon to follow.

RAYMOND WAGGANER
Raymond Harley
Wagganer, 54, of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at
Mid Michigan Medical Center-Clare. Mr. Wagganer was born May 4, 1954 in
Detroit, Michigan, the son of Harley and Patsy (Medling) Wagganer.
Mr. Wagganer had resided in Harrison since 2004, coming from
Westland, Michigan. Raymond enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting,
fishing, swimming, caring for his children and grandchildren and reading
his bible.
Surviving are four loving daughters: Donnell Wagganer and husband
Steven Golden of Westland, Jolene Wagganer of Canton, Michigan, Rachel
E. Brewer and husband Ryan of Westland and Sarah Wagganer and husband
Marvin Williams of Lincoln Park, Michigan, his mother, Patsy Wagganer of
Westland, the mother and grandmother of Raymond's children and
grandchildren, Elaine Dolliver of Daytona, Florida, one brother, Ronald
Wagganer and wife Judy of Westland, a half brother, Darold Meyers of
Harrison, one sister, Sheila Shelton and husband Tommy of Westland, a
half sister, Sharon Rowe and husband Harold of Westland, five
grandchildren: Brittany Golden, Harley Golden, Ryan Brewer Jr.,
Sa'marion Williams and Christian Brewer, two grand-dogs: Chichi and Paco
plus numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Wagganer was preceded in
death by his father, one brother, Gary Wagganer and two grandchildren:
Steven G. Golden II and Jacob Skyler Wagganer-Cantrell.

BARBARA JEAN CLARK
Barbara Jean Clark,
77, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008 at her home
after a long illness. Barbara was born May 12, 1931 in Isabella County,
Michigan, the daughter of Raymond and Ethel (Guthrie) Lippincott.
Barbara was united in marriage to Mr. Wayne Clark on December 16, 1967
in Lansing, Michigan. Mr. Clark preceded Barbara in death in 1996. Mrs.
Clark had resided in Harrison since 1970, coming from Lansing. Barbara
was a charter member of the Community Baptist Church of Harrison.
Surviving is her step mother, Wahnetta Moore of Ft. Myers, Florida,
five sisters: Ida Adams of Lansing, Michigan, Beverly Barron and husband
Tom of Okemos, Michigan, Shirley Birchfield and husband William of
Tecumseh, Michigan, Carol Senard of Lansing and Florence Stanley of Ft.
Myers, Florida, one brother, Tom Lippincott and wife Diane of
Wilmington, North Carolina, a half brother, Charlie Lippincott and wife
Joan of Haslett, Michigan, plus several nieces and nephews. Barbara also
was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Lawrence Lippincott,
David Trayer, Dennis Trayer and Roger Lippincott, one sister, Norma June
Sidel.
Funeral services for Mrs. Clark were held Tuesday, November 25,
2008 at 12:00 p.m. from Community Baptist Church of Harrison, with
Pastor Ron Callen officiating. Burial will be in Deepdale Memorial
Gardens of Lansing. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Clark may
