JAMES E. WALTER
James E. Walter,
age 84 of Harrison, Michigan formerly of Owosso, passed away Thursday,
Oct. 26, 2006 in Clare, Michigan.
James was born March 8, 1922, in Owosso, the son of Glenn and Catherine
(Flynn) Walter. He graduated from Owosso High School, and served in the
United States Army during World War II.
He was a past member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was a member
of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge in Harrison. James enjoyed
gardening, spending time with his family and his dog.
Survivors include: his daughter, Christine A. Walter; son, James P.
Walter; granddaughter, Karie Kathryn; long-time special companion, Roma
Jenc; brothers, William (Alma) Walter, Gerald (Flo) Walter; sisters,
Rose Pabst, Marjorie DeFelice, Katherine Gray, Joan (Robert) Kebler, and
Dorothy (Duane) Hamlin.
He was predeceased by: wife, Hilda; brothers, Phillip Walter,
Spencer Walter, and Neil Walter; sister, Lurene O’Brien.

STEVE H. LIEBER
Steve H. Lieber, 83, of Mt. Pleasant,
passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at St. Mary’s Hospital of
Saginaw. Mr. Lieber was born April 23, 1923 in Algonac, Michigan, the
son of Henry and Theresa (Lamping) Lieber. Mr. Lieber served in the
United States Army Air Force during WWII. Steve was united in marriage
to Dorothy I Klaty on January 6, 1945 in Centerline, Michigan. Mr.
Lieber had resided in Mt. Pleasant since 2002 coming from Harrison,
where he owned and operated Lieber Real Estate for thirty years.
Mr. Lieber was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1075
of Harrison, American Legion Post 404 of Harrison, Fraternal Order of
Eagles Aerie 3541 of Harrison serving as past state president and John
J. Carton Masonic Lodge #436 also of Harrison.
Surviving are his loving wife; Dorothy I Lieber of Mt. Pleasant,
one son; Bill H. Lieber and wife Angine of Cornersville, Tennessee,
three daughters; Bette J. Lieber of Mt. Pleasant, Linda F. Walters and
husband Michael of Thornton, Colorado, and Stephanie Lieber of Midland,
Michigan, two sisters; Theresa McCracken of Lapeer, Michigan and Mary
Ann Wurmlinger and husband Joseph of Mesa, Arizona, seven grandchildren
and three great grandchildren. Mr. Lieber was preceded in death by his
parents, three brothers; John, Joseph and Walter Lieber and three
sisters; Mary Lieber, Catherine Robarge and Margaret Stefan.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2:00
p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Mr. Bill Lieber
officiating. Burial is in Hamilton Township Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial

CAROLE L. GUISEPPE
Carole L. Guiseppe
87 of Harrison passed away Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Tendercare of Mt.
Pleasant, Michigan. Carole was born January 4, 1919 in Highland Park,
Michigan, the daughter of Arthur and Emily Louise (Miller) Bastian.
Carole was united in marriage to Alvarato J. Guiseppe on April 28,
1948 in Hazel Park. Mrs. Guiseppe was preceded in death by her husband
on December 20, 1986. Mrs. Guiseppe had resided in Harrison since 1969,
coming from Hazel Park.
Surviving are one brother; Clayton Graves of Pasadena, Texas
and several friends and neighbors. Carole also was preceded in death by
her parents.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2006 at
10:00 a.m. from Hamilton Township Cemetery, Harrison. To share an online

WILLIAM RAY “BILLY RAY” JESSE II
William Ray Jesse II, 37 of Houma,
Louisiana, passed away Friday, November 3, 2006. Billy Ray was born
March 2, 1969 in Lawton, Oklahoma, the son of William R. Jesse Sr. and
Johnnie Mae (Heath) Jesse. Billy Ray had resided in Harrison from
1981-1987
Mr. Jesse attended Harrison Community Schools for several years.
Billy Ray was employed as a 1st class welder, specializing in aluminum
repair on off shore drilling rigs in the Gulf Billy Ray enjoyed flying
airplanes as a Licensed Private Pilot.
Surviving are his parents; William R. Jesse Sr. and wife Sherri of
Harrison and Johnnie M. Jesse of Stanton, Michigan, two sons; Josh Jesse
of Texas and Brock Jesse of Saginaw, one daughter; Alissa Jesse of
Saginaw, one brother; Ryan M. Jesse and wife Tracy of San Diego,
California, two sisters; Misty L. Jesse of Clarkston, Michigan and
Jessica M. Jesse of Clare, Michigan, maternal grandmother; Bonnie Heath
of Stanton, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins and one nephew; Tyler
Jarosiewicz of Clare. Billy Ray was preceded in death by his brother;
David Cameron Jesse.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 11:00
a.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Elder Dale Beavers
officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial
