Jesse Leon Neil
Heath, 75 of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the
Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center of Clare, Michigan. He was born the
son of Bert and Elizabeth (Bell) Heath on March 3, 1932 in Saginaw,
Michigan.
Mr. Heath had resided in Harrison since 1957, coming from Saginaw,
Michigan. Jesse was a Charter Member of the Harrison Eagles Aerie #3541.
In his pastime he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bee keeping, cooking and
building furniture and bird houses.
Surviving are two sons, William J. Heath of Detroit, Michigan and
Jesse L. Heath II of Harrison, Michigan, four daughters, Joni Mae Jesse
of Stanton, Michigan, Dawn Kotynia of Detroit, Michigan, Leslie Wilson
of Harrison, Michigan and Cinnamon A. Heath of Saginaw, Michigan,
grandchildren, Jayln, Jordan and others and numerous great
grandchildren. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Marsha
Heath of Harrison. Mr. Heath was preceded in death by his parents, one
son, Kory J. Heath, grandson, William Ray Jesse II, three brothers,
Charlie, Burt and Gene Heath and one sister, Evelyn Evoy.
Funeral services were held on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m.
at the Stocking Funeral Home. Services were conducted by the Harrison
Eagles Aerie #3541. Memorial contributions may be considered to Mid
Michigan Hospice and Visiting Nurses Association of Clare County. Mr.

SPECIALIST ROBERT DIXON
Specialist Robert J.
Dixon “Bobby”, age 27 of Minneapolis, MN, was killed May 6, 2007 in
Iraq when his humvee hit an IED.
Bobby was born December 30, 1979 in Portland, OR. He is survived by
wife Rusty Rose Dixon of Minneapolis; sons: Logan & Michael Rice of
Beaverton; parents: Dan & Ilene Dixon of Gladwin; grandmother: Laura
Spangler of Gladwin; grandmother: Florence Dixon of Apple Valley,
California; brother: David & Kanina Dixon of Harrison; sister: Gretchen
& William “Billy” Lang of Beaverton; brother: Daniel Austin Dixon and
Fiancé Ivene Lopez of Louisiana; nieces & nephews: Starr Dixon and
Daniel Dixon of Harrison: Jayna Lang, Morgan Lang, & Will Lang of
Beaverton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Remembrance Service was held Monday, May 14, 2007, 6:00pm at
Gladwin High School Gymnasium, Gladwin, Michigan. Friends may call
Gladwin High School from 4pm until the service. Burial will be in Ft.
Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Memorial Contributions are
to be used according to the family or the donor’s favorite charity.

LYNN MARIE DAVIS
January 25, 1937 to April 25, 2007
Lynn Marie Davis -Age 64 of Farwell
died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Midland. A
Service of Remembrance was held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 30, 2007 at
Campbell-Stocking Family Funeral Home, Farwell. Elder Dale Beavers
officiated.
Lynn was born January 25,1943 in Lansing, MI. Her parents were
Donald and Darlene Pike. She was an avid reader, loved to fish, camp,
her dog Stretch, and lighthouses.
Lynn is survived by her husband James Davis; 3 sons, James Davis,
Jr. of Clare, Ronald Sarnia of Lake, and Jerry Sarnia of Alpena; three
daughters; Barbara Jean and husband Michael Froten of Hartsville, SC,
Candy Abood of Lansing, MI, Debbie and her husband Jeff Proctor of
Taylor, MI, and Renee Padd of Alpena, MI, 14 grandchildren, and 6
great-grandchildren; and one sister; Winnie (David) Eckhout of Farwell,
MI; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were entrusted to Campbell-Stocking Family Funeral
Home of Farwell. ***
LAWRENCE DUANE SMITH
Lawrence "Larry" Duane Smith, 59 of
rural Harrison passed away Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Mid Michigan
Regional Medical Center-Clare. Mr. Smith was born December 25, 1947 in
Flint, Michigan, the son of Claude E. and Mary E. (Kingsbury) Smith.
Mr. Smith was united in marriage to the former Leita M. Neeley on
June 26, 1965 in Flint. Larry had resided in rural Harrison since 1981,
coming from Flint. Larry was a member of the Clare Church of the
Nazarene. Mr. Smith retired from General Motors Corporation in 1996
after thirty years of employment. He enjoyed playing softball, piano and
violin, riding motorcycles and four wheelers, coaching Little League
Baseball and being together with his family.
Surviving is his loving wife, Leita M. Smith of Harrison, his
mother, Mary E. Smith of Flint, four sons: Lawrence Smith II and wife
Theresa of Harrison, Trever C. Smith and wife Donna also of Harrison,
Tod A. Smith and wife Kristina of Farwell, Michigan and Chad E. Smith
and fiancee Tressa Bauknecht of Harrison, four brothers: Donald Smith
and wife Sharon of Burton, Michigan, Charles Smith and wife Sandra of
Lake, Michigan, Curtis Smith and wife Ina of Farwell and Tony Smith and
wife Tracy of Clio, Michigan, five grandchildren: Trever C. Smith II,
Heather R. Smith, Macy A. Smith, Christopher D. Smith and Tayler L.
Smith, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith was preceded in death
by his father, one brother, Carl Smith and two grandchildren: Christina
M. Smith and Zachary M. Smith.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. from
Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Pastor Jerry Lovett officiating.
Burial was in Hatton Township Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial contributions
