ROBERT C. ROE

Robert C. Roe, 74, of Harrison,
passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at his home. Robert was born May
16, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, the son of Robert E. and Mary A.
(Huber) Roe. Mr. Roe served his country in the United States Air Force
during the Korean Conflict. Robert was united in marriage to the former
Louise Austin on August 23, 1957 in Harrison. Mr. Roe had resided in
Harrison since 1962, coming from Marietta, Georgia.
Robert graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor
degree in Industrial Arts. Robert was a member of United Brethren
Church-Harrison and the American Legion Post 404-Harrison.
Surviving is his loving wife, Louise Roe of Harrison, one son,
Austin Roe and wife Peggy of Harrison, two daughters: Kathy Anderson and
husband Dyche of Plymouth, Michigan and Janet Roe-Darden and husband Ken
Darden of Lansing, two sisters: Mary Dwyer of Traverse City, Michigan
and JoAnn Farabee of Austin, Texas, five grandchildren: Bekki and Abby
Jankoviak, Sonia, Alice and Ross Roe, plus several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life service was held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at
11:00 a.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, with Rev. Lee Palmer and Pastor
Marion Hall officiating. Inurnment will be in Hamilton Township
Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Roe, may be

CORRIGAN
Jaimie D. Corrigan, age 36, of Farwell, passed away March 6, 2008
after a battle with cancer. She was born August 25, 1971 in Rochester
Hills. Jaimie is survived by her longtime companion Walter Garver; her
children Samantha, Seth and Tab Corrigan; her parents Bob and Jackie
Miller of Harrison; her paternal grandmother Gabriella Bates; siblings
Jenny, Jim and John Whittey, Angela Pringle, Dawn Ledford, Mike and BJ
Miller; eighteen nieces and nephews. Jaimie was preceded in death by her
father James Whittey, Sr.; her maternal grandparents John and Ethel
Bates of Harrison; her paternal grandfather Delbert Whittey of Harrison;
and maternal aunt Linda Cona of Washington.
In keeping with Jaimie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A
Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 3:00
P.M. at the Clare Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will take place on
Saturday from 1-3 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Central

RICHARD E. STONE
Richard Eugene Stone, age 68, of
Harrison, passed away on March 13, 2008 at The Laurels of Mt. Pleasant.
He was born March 13, 1940 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Eugene and
Mildred (Smith) Stone. Richard retired from the United States Marine
Corp.
Mr. Stone was a member of the American Legion Post #404, Harrison,
V.F.W. Post #1075 of Harrison, Eagles Club and Little Moose. He had also
worked for General Dynamics, Utica, Michigan for ten years.
Surviving Richard is his daughter, Susan Shelton and husband Kirk
of Gordonsville, Tennessee, brothers, David Stone and wife Debbie, James
Norton and wife Sandy, John Norton and Mike Norton and wife Mary and two
grandchildren, Kira and Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with Mr. Stone's wishes, cremation has taken place and
inurnment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. A
memorial service was held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the American

EDWARD HENRY PETERS
Edward Henry Peters,
age 85, of Harrison, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the
Covenant Health Care - Cooper Campus in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born
the son of Henry Michael and Anna Mary (Dave) Peters on September 21,
1922 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He served in the United States Army during
World War II and worked in the automotive field with Chrysler, on the
assembly line for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending
time with his family and friends, and being a member of the Harrison
Moose Lodge #2235. He had lived in the Harrison area since 1983, where
he had moved from Warren, Michigan.
He is survived by his son, Dennis W. (Linda) Peters of Clawson,
Michigan; his three daughters: Carol R. Burk of Leroy, Michigan, Ruth
Ann (Roy) Longman of Brown City, Michigan, and Donna Mae (Michael) Gehrt
of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his three sisters: Phyllis Hubbard of Sterling
Heights, Michigan, Mary Holmes of Lewiston, Michigan and Patricia
(Ronald) Bergiel of Roseville, Michigan; twelve grandchildren,
twenty-three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by: his parents, a special longtime friend, Nellie
Lee, a son-in-law, Leo Burk, and his sister, Dorothy Krause and a
brother-in-law, Walter Krause, and the mother of Edward's children,
Dorothy (Peters) Tuttle.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.
at the Stocking Funeral Home with Elder Dale Beavers officiating. Burial
will take place in the Hayes Twp. Cemetery in Harrison, Michigan.

PAUL RICHARD STEEL
Paul Richard Steel,
87, of Harrison passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Mid Michigan
Medical CenterMidland. Mr. Steel was born June 14, 1920 in Boyne City,
Michigan, the son of Charles Daniel and Ethel F. (Thompson) Steel. Paul
served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Paul
was united in marriage to the former Jean E. Beckwith on October 7, 1940
in Swartz Creek, Michigan. Mr. Steel had resided in Harrison since 1984,
coming from Saginaw, Michigan.
Paul was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison,
American Legion Post 404 of Harrison, Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #2235
also of Harrison and the Knights of Columbus Council 7571 of Harrison.
Paul loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his spare time,
he enjoyed woodworking, snowmobiling, bowling and cleaning and driving
his cars.
Surviving is his loving wife, Jean E. Steel of Harrison, one
daughter, Carolyn Bentley and husband Charles of Clio, Michigan, four
grandchildren: Laurie Misekow and husband Randy, Sherry Morris and
husband Mark, Julie Piar and husband Kirk and Thomas Bentley and wife
Jill, ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many
friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers:
Milford Steel, Ralph Steel, Eugene Steel, Robert Steel and Paul Steel
and one sister, Mary Durham.
Celebration of life memorial services were held Saturday, March 15,
2008 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Athanasius Catholic Church, with Father Noel
Rudy officiating. Military honors were conducted under the auspices of
the American Legion Post 404-Harrison. Memorial contributions may be
