ASHER BYRON MCGHEE

Asher Byron "Buckshot" McGhee, of
Temple, passed away Tuesday March 11, 2008 at Mid-Michigan Medical
Center in Clare. He was 67.
Buckshot was born July 24, 1940 to William Carmel and Leona
Marguerite (Vanhorn) McGhee in Middleville, Michigan. He grew up in the
Middleville area and was employed at Bradford-White for 35 years as a
welder. Buckshot took Janie Highsmith to be his wife on May 5, 1985 in
Hastings. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Temple where they
have lived for the past 9 years. In his leisure time, Buckshot loved to
hunt and fish. This was his passion and he was very successful at it.
Buckshot is survived by his wife Janie; children, Ken McGhee, Angela
Groom, and Amy Elliott all of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Matthew
McGhee, Austin Groom, Alexis Elliott and Jack Elliott; sister, Betty
Flora of Paris, Michigan and step-sister Roberta of Ohio.
Buckshot is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary
McGhee.
No formal services will be held for Buckshot but a private family

EDWARD F. BRAGG

Edward F. Bragg, 73, of Harrison
passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008 at his home. Mr. Bragg was born
December 14, 1934 in West Branch, Michigan, the son of Ralph and Helena
(Baumichen) Bragg. Ed was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Lee
Meadows on July 21, 1956 in West Branch. Dorothy preceded Edward in
death on January 5, 2005. Mr. Bragg had resided in Harrison since 1989,
coming from Taylor, Michigan.
Mr. Bragg was very active with the Clare County Sheriff Reserves
and the Harrison Knights of Columbus Council #7571. Ed was a member of
St. Athanasius Catholic Church-Harrison. Ed loved nature and enjoyed
caring for the birds, deer and other wildlife.
Surviving are three daughters: Patricia Haynes and husband Larry of
Port Huron, Michigan, Barbara Mickelson of Portola Hills, California and
Nancy Caudill and husband Robert of Taylor, two sons: Joe Bragg of
Oxford, Michigan and Michael Bragg and wife Michelle of Bradenton,
Florida, two brothers: Leo Bragg of St. Helen, Michigan and Paul Bragg
and wife Bonnie of Rose City, Michigan, nine grandchildren plus numerous
nieces and nephews. Mr. Bragg also was preceded in death by his parents,
two brothers: Henry and John Bragg and two sisters: Teresa Bragg and
Catherine Gehl.
Funeral services for Mr. Bragg will be held Thursday, March 27,
2008 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Athanasius Catholic Church-Harrison, with
Father Noel Rudy officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March
26, 2008 from 2:00-9:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison (989)
539-7810. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, West Branch.

LARRY LEWIS MUNGER

Larry Lewis Munger,
56, of Clare (formerly of Corunna), passed away on Monday, March 17,
2008 at Baptist Regional Hospital in Kentucky. He was born in Owosso,
Michigan on June 16, 1951 the son of Lewis “Stub” Munger and Avis
Stanton.
Larry graduated from Corunna High School in 1969 and married
Suzanne M. Smalligan on August 5, 2006, in Newaygo. He resided in
Corunna most of his life. Larry worked for Consumers Energy as the Fleet
Supervisor for the Alma, Midland, Gladwin, Standish, and Saginaw Gas
Storage. He enjoyed riding his Harley and had a chance to ride his bike
on the track at Bristol Motor Speedway. He was a life long NASCAR fan
and was a past track champion at Owosso Speedway. Larry also enjoyed
going up north snowmobiling. He was a member of HOG (Harley Owners
Group).
Surviving Larry are his wife Suzanne Munger of Clare, MI, step
children; Alicha (Jason) Cribbs of Greenville, MI, Christopher (Katie)
Smalligan of Tucson, AZ, 2 step grandchildren; Ashton Cribbs and Hailey
Cribbs, Life long friend; Denise Munger (Brian) Smith of Corunna, MI,
Sister; Carol Freeman of Owosso, MI, Brother; Joe (Karen) Carr of
Owosso, MI, several nieces and nephews and 3 cats; Nassie, Carrie &
Speed. He was predeceased by his parents; Lewis “Stub” and Avis
(Stanton) Munger and his loving dog, Chelsea.
Funeral services were held at Smith Family Funeral Home, Corunna
Chapel, Corunna, MI on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 11am with Rev. David
R. Strobe officiating. Burial will be at the Hawkins Cemetery, Caledonia
Township, MI. Memorials may be made to; Victory Junction Gang. Online

EMILY ANN HARRINGTON
Emily Ann Harrington,
69, of Harrison, passed away Monday, March 17, 2008 at The Laurels of
Mt. Pleasant. Emily was born July 14, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan, the
daughter of George and Catherine (Fayad) Khoury. Emily was united in
marriage to Carson Harrington Jr. on June 21, 1965 in Wayne County,
Michigan. Mr. Harrington preceded Emily in death on February 8, 1988.
Emily had resided in Harrison for many years. Mrs. Harrington enjoyed
playing bingo, crocheting and loved spending time and caring for her
grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters: Renee Gamez of Lapeer, Michigan and
Mary Harrington and her companion Patrick Griffith of Harrison, two
sons: Michael Harrington and wife Tanya Dwyer of Lapeer and Patrick
Harrington also of Lapeer, one sister, Martha Adkins of Highland,
Michigan, thirteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Emily
also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Noel Khoury.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
