MICHAEL S. KILLIAN SR.
1946-2009
Michael Stanley
Killian Sr., 62, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009 at
his home after a long illness. Mr. Killian was born December 31, 1946 in
Detroit, Michigan, the son of Edward H. and Victoria B. (Kwitowska)
Killian.
Mr. Killian had resided in Harrison since 2001, moving from
Hamtramck, Michigan. Mr. Killian was a member of S.A.L. Post 273 of
Temple, Michigan and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2236 of Harrison.
Mr. Killian is survived by: 2 children, son Michael S. Jr. of
Macomb, Michigan, and daughter Melissa (Robert) Kohler of Clinton
Township, Michigan. 2 grandchildren, Adriana and Zachary Orlo of Clinton
Township, Michigan. 1 sister, Susan Killian of Warren, Michigan. Plus
loving nieces and many cousins. Mr. Killian is also survived by long
time companion Mary Singleton of Harrison, Michigan, her children,
grandchildren and great-grand children.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Victoria
and younger brother Gerald Killian.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service and Luncheon for Michael was
held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the VFW Post 10 in Hamtramck, Michigan
and also Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the American Legion Post 404,
Harrison. Internment services were held Monday, June 15, 2009 in
Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison. Arrangements for Michael were
entrusted with Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison.

JANET PAULINE GASSMAN
Gassman, Janet Pauline
- age 77 of Harrison, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at First
Congregational Church, 211 W. Spruce St., Harrison, MI. Friends may
visit from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Stocking Funeral Home
and also on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of service at the
Church. Pastor Jerry Baxter will preside with burial following in Maple
Grove Cemetery.
Janet was born September 27, 1931 the daughter of Dean and Grace
Ida (Darling) Gleason, Sr. in Flint, MI. She married Clarence Gassman,
August 26, 1950 in Saginaw, Mi. Janet worked in many areas, including
Holly Carburetor, Gleason - Gassman Insurance, Real Estate and Property
Management,. Morton Hardware, Putter Golf and Boulton Chiropractic. She
was a member of First Congregational Church of Harrison and the Eastern
Stars in Harrison. She was an avid reader and loved collecting dolls and
antiques. Janet was the "'Matriarch" of the family and will be greatly
missed.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clarence; one son, Mark
Gassman and wife Pamella of St. Johns, MI; three daughters, Pamela and
husband Robert Rzepecki of Mt. Pleasant, Connie and husband Max Saxton
of Harrison and Annette and husband Brad Boulton of Harrison; nine
grandchildren, Sara Rzepecki, Kristen Rzepecki, Andrew Saxton and wife
Elly, Matthew Saxton, Kyle Gassman, Alisha Gassman, Brent Boulton,
Lauren Boulton and Anaca Boulton; one great granddaughter Jaclyn. Janet
was preceded in death by her parents and just recently her brother Dean
Gleason, Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made in Janet's name to Mid Michigan
Home Care and Hospice or First Congregational Church of Harrison.

CRAIG LEWIS GARDNER

Craig Lewis Gardner, age 57, of Ovid,
MI died Friday, June 5, 2009 at his home.
There will be no services.
Craig was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 10, 1951, the son
of Clifford Gardner and Betty (Toman) Ackles. Craig was a truck driver.
He enjoyed going to auto races, fishing, playing pool and going bowling.
He resided most of his life in Ovid & Harrison, Michigan
He is survived by 2 daughters; Nicole Stambersky of St. Johns, MI,
Tonya and Frederick Petty of Eastpointe, MI, son Richard and Pamela
Gardner of Harrison, MI, his mother Betty Ackles of Ovid, MI, sister
Linda and Gary Martines of Owosso, MI, and 2 brothers; Richard and
Brenda Ackles of Laingsburg, MI, and Ryan Ackles of Ovid, MI. He was
predeceased by his father.

ROBERT GARTH CASE
February 12, 1939 - June 20, 2009
Robert "Bob" Garth Case, 70, of
Harrison, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009 at his home with his
family at his side. Mr. Case was born February 12, 1939 in Lansing,
Michigan, the son of Ralph N. and Sarah R. (Finch) Case. Mr. Case was
united in marriage to Ms. Mary Alyce Bilcox on July 12, 1958 in Okemos,
Michigan.
Bob had resided in Harrison since 1974, coming from Lansing,
Michigan. Mr. Case enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his
family.
Surviving is his loving wife, Mary A. Case of Harrison, one son,
Robert Garth Case Jr. of Green Bay, Wisconsin, five daughters: Vickie
Beemer and husband Matthew of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Lori Dobson and
husband Don of Harrison, Tina Earl and husband Allen of Gladwin,
Michigan, Mary Case of Harrison and Tammy Hoffman and husband Jerry of
St. Helen, Michigan, one sister, Ida Pepe and husband Bobby of Arcadia,
California, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, plus
many nieces and nephews. Mr. Case was preceded in death by his parents,
three brothers: Jim, John and Harold Case and three sisters: Juanita
Lovell, Donna Adsit and Betty Miller.
In keeping with Mr. Case's wishes, cremation has taken place and a
