D. DALE. SMITH

   Mr. Dale Smith, 85, of Harrison, MI, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006 at home. Dale was born May 28, 1921 in Greenville, TX, the son of Garnet and Nell (Dulaney) Smith. Dale was united in marriage to Betty Wilder.
   Mr. Smith was the brother of Garnell Brousard, Freddie Dean and Harold Wayne Smith. Dale was also the uncle of Suzanne Brousard.
   Dale had a bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University. He was formerly employed as a machinist at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CN. Dale attended the University of Hawaii for two years and Michigan State University for another two years. He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer. Mr. Smith was a member of Gi Tour Signs. After he graduated he briefly worked for Rio Motors then went over to Oldsmobile. There he worked on the Hurst Olds, he was Senior Project Engineer. Dale was very active in the automotive racing program, working with Joe Mondello, Paul Mayo, John Troxell, Bobby and Al Unser. Dale allowed all the Oldsmobile racers to be competitive with all the other G.M. branches. Dale was a great standard in the Oldsmobile industry.
   Funeral Services for Mr. Smith was held on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 11:00a.m. from Stocking Funeral Home 165 W. Oak St., Harrison, MI 48625, with Pastor Gerald Baxter officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison, MI. Memorial contributions may be considered to the American Legion Post 404, Harrison, MI. JAMES ARTHUR GREEN

   James A. Green, 51 of Lake George passed away Monday, June 12, 2006 at his home. Jim was born February 12, 1955 in Mt. Pleasant the son of Roger Green and Arlene (Kotesky) West. James enjoyed wood carving, fishing, small engine repair work, painting and spending time with family and friends.
   Surviving Mr. Green is his mother: Arlene, three brothers: Harold (Becky), Roger and Neil Green all of Lake George, three sisters: Marjorie (Dean) Emery of Aztec, NM, Rolanda and Brenda Green both of Lake George, several nieces and nephews.

AMANDA ALICE RAUCH

  Ms. Amanda Rauch, 27, of Harrison, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 22, 2006. Amanda was born on March 9, 1979 in Flint, the daughter of David and Tonya (Hill) DeGiorgis.
   Amanda was a member of the Harrison Moose Lodge#2235 Women of the Moose. She enjoyed listening to music, mastering the art of tattooing and was very artistic. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
   Surviving Amanda is her two adoring sons: Jonathon II and Glenn Rauch both of Harrison, her parents: brother: David DeGiorgis of Harrison, stepbrother: Charlie Bradley, two step-sisters: Holly Bradley and Lindy DeGiorgis, maternal grandmother and step-grandfather: Alice (Jack) Miller of Harrison, Paternal grandparents: Charles and Joy DeGiorgis of Lake George, one aunt: Angela Hill of Harrison, two uncles: Jerald Hill of Harrison and Daniel Dubay of Salt Lake City, special friends: Glenda and Ron Rauch and many dear friends. Ms. Rauch was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Bernard Hill.

CHARLES J. FOUTS

   Charles Junior Fouts, age 80, of Harrison, formerly of Denton, Texas, passed away Monday, March 27, 2006 at his home. He was born October 31, 1925 the son of Charles and Lena Elizabeth (Jackson) Fouts in Litchfield, Illinois. Charles married Nancy L. Dow on July 13, 1990 in Denton, Texas. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Fouts was a life member of the VFW Post 1075-Harrison.
   He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Harrison, two sons; Thomas (Kathy) Fouts of Illinois and Lyle C. (Sherry) Fouts of Virden, Illinois, two step-sons; Keith (Ilene) Dutcher of Harrison and Ronald (Rebecca) Dutcher of Ponder, Texas, three stepdaughters; Judy (John) Jackson of Carrollton, Texas, Pamela Dutcher of Lansing, Michigan and Carol Arnold of Garland, Texas, one brother; Ivra (Kathy) Fouts of Woodbury, Tennessee, one sister; Ruth List of Litchfield, Illinois, several grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Lewis Fouts.
   Graveside services were held on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Evergreen Cemetery with Kurt Eichinger officiating and military honors conducted by the VFW Post 1075 honor guard. Arrangements were entrusted to the Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison.

HAROLD L. COX

   Harold LaVerne Cox, 77, of Harrison, formerly of Livonia, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2006 at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born December 25, 1928, the son of Chris W. and Irma (Aud) Cox in Detroit, Michigan. Harold married Kay Augusta Aronson on December 25, 1958 in Detroit.
   Mr. Cox served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a life member of the John J. Carton Masonic Lodge #436, a past Worthy Patron of the Harrison Eastern Star #408 and a member of the Harrison Moose Lodge # 2235. Harold enjoyed building, loved dancing and traveling.
   He is survived by his loving wife, Kay of Harrison, sister; Doris J. Westlake of Shelby Township, Michigan, brother-in-laws; Norman (Deann) Aronson of Whitmore Lake, Michigan and Gordon (Jackie) Whiteman of Boynton Beach, Florida, sister-in-law; Ariel (Robert) Douglass of Mio, Michigan, several nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Chris H. Cox.
