ATHENA MARGARET FIORINI
July 15, 1925 - January 25, 2010

   Athena Margaret Fiorini, age 84 of Harrison, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010 at her home. Athena was born July 15, 1925 in Sunfield, Michigan, the daughter of Elose and Odora (Crealey) Stambaugh. She had married the late Rodger Fiorini in 1960. Mr. Fiorini preceded her in death in 1979.
   Athena had resided in Harrison since 1990, coming from Clarkston, Michigan. Mrs. Fiorini worked many years for Kmart and Pamida stores. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, camping, boating and fishing.
   Surviving is her son Jeff Helms of Lake Orion, Michigan and her daughter, Margaret Howe and husband Elwood of Harrison, Michigan, her brother, Elias Stambaugh and wife Dorothy of Granbury, Texas, her six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fiorini was also preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, two sisters and one great-granddaughter.
   Visitation for Mrs. Fiorini was held Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. JOANN LAURA PRICE

   JoAnn (Johanna) Laura Price, age 81, a resident of Harrison, passed away February 7, 2010 at her daughter’s residence in Royal Oak.
   She was born December 10, 1928 in Detroit. Mrs. Price was a graduate of St. Martin Catholic School. She was a member of St. Martin Ladies Club since 1947 and a guild member of St. Athanasius Church in Harrison. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society, Harrison Moose Lodge and Long Lake Association. She volunteered at Mid Michigan Community Hospital in Mount Pleasant and was an avid golfer.
   She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her husband of 60 years, Martin, married October 8, 1949 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Detroit; children, Ronald (Judy) Price of Lake Orion, Laura Gleason of Grosse Pointe Park, Elaine Berube of Royal Oak, Carol Hennigar of Royal Oak, Janet Price of Tucson, AZ and Robert (Lori) Price of Oxford; siblings, Ruth (Pat) Higgins of Kensington, MD, James (Maryann) Norris of Sterling Heights and Joseph (Dody) Norris of Burbank, CA; grandchildren, Richard (Kim) Price, Michael Price, Erin Gleason (Doug Sattem), Margaret Gleason, Nathan Berube, David Berube, Brian (Theresa) Hennigar, Shannon Hennigar (Adam Konarski), Jamie (Robert) Stark, Robert Price Jr. and Martin Price; 11 great grandchildren; her many favorite nieces and nephews, as well as her friends.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank X. and M. Irene (Menard) Norris; son-in-law, John Gleason; and siblings, Frank B. Norris and Marie (Bernard) Quackenbush.
   The visitation will be Thursday 4-8 p.m. and Friday 1-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Sharing of Memories Service at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road (4 blks. E of Woodward), Royal Oak.
   Mrs. Price will lie in state Saturday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Steven Wertanen officiating. The inurnment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in May. Memorials to The Capuchins, 1820 Mt. MICHAEL SCOTT SCHMIDT

   Michael Scott Schmidt, age eight-months, nine-days, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center in Clare, Michigan. He was born the son of Kelly Lynn Schmidt on May 19, 2009, in Clare, Michigan.
   He is survived by his mother, Kelly Lynn Schmidt, of Harrison, Michigan; his maternal grandparents, Rob and Sherrie Schmidt of Harrison, Michigan; maternal great-grandmother, Donna Kirby, of Merrillville, Indiana; maternal aunt, Marsha Vargo of Merrillville, Indiana; maternal great-grandmother, Betty Schmidt, of Clare, Michigan; maternal uncle, Rob Scott Schmidt, Jr. & girlfriend, Katie Pitts, of Harrison; maternal great-uncle, Kevin (Trudy) Kirby of Holland, Netherlands; and numerous family and close friends.
   Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at the Stocking Funeral Home in Harrison with Pastor Jerry Britton officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday. Burial will take place in the Summerfield Township Cemetery in Harrison, Michigan. NOAH DONALD TESSNER
AUGUST 14, 1934 - FEBRUARY 4, 2010

   Noah Donald Tessner, 75 of Toivola, Michigan, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at his home. Noah was born August 14, 1934 in Barnardsville, North Carolina the son of Nathanial and Pansey (Allen) Tessner.
   Mr. Tessner had resided in Toivola since 2007, coming from Harrison, Michigan. Noah was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying deer hunting, bear hunting, raccoon hunting, fishing, trapping, and playing Blue Grass music. Noah spent many years harvesting timber in the lower and upper peninsulas of Michigan. Mr. Tessner was a life member of the National Rifle Association, Michigan Bear Association, and the North American Hunt Club.
   Surviving Noah are four sons: Avon Tessner of Norvell, Michigan, Danny Tessner also of Norvell, Jake Tessner and wife Shellie of Harrison and Lucas Tessner also of Harrison, three daughters: Kay McDaniel of Highpoint, North Carolina, Tammy (Frank) Lewis of Highpoint and Sandy (Kenneth) Trotter also of Highpoint, two brothers: David Tessner and wife Nancy of NC Chandler and Dewey Tessner and wife Barbara of Robinsville, NC; two sisters, Irene Tessner and Ernestine (Harold) Edwards, many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Tessner was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: William, Ed and Troy Tessner, two sisters: Madline and Maggie Ann.
   Funeral services for Mr. Tessner were held Monday, February 8, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Pastor Jerry R. Lovett officiating.
