AUDREY PARDUE

Audrey Pardue 99
of Harrison passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Tendercare of
Clare.
Audrey was born October 21, 1908 in Lincoln County, West Virginia,
the daughter to Edgar and Elsie Estep.
Audrey was united in marriage to her longtime sweetheart, Charles
"Turley" Pardue on March 21st, 1931 in Hamlin, West Virginia. Audrey and
Turley moved from West Virginia to Greendale (Oil City) in 1932.
Michigan remained to be their home.
Audrey never missed a day of school during her grade school and
high school. She lettered in softball at Duval High School,
Griffithsville, West Virginia. Audrey received her teaching certificate
from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She taught a
number of years in Griffithsville, West Virginia, Harrison Schools,
Frost Township and Grant Township schools. She can be remembered as a
stern taskmaster and a good one to have on your team playing softball
during noon hour and recess.
Mrs. Pardue was a long time member of the First Congregational
Church-Harrison and a life member of the Order of Eastern Stars.
Audrey was a good friend to many, a great mom and a wonderful
grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Brandt and husband
Jerry of Harrison, one daughter in law, Audrey Pardue also of Harrison,
Twelve grandchildren: Robin Voshell and husband Gary of Vicksburg,
Michigan, Keri Endres-Bercher, Tim Haskin and wife Denise, Michael
Haskin and wife Karen all of Harrison, Kathy Fall and husband Tim of
Farwell, Amy Romanowski and husband Ron of Harrison, Shane Haskin and
wife Machele also of Harrison, Terri Cuddie and husband Brian of
Sandusky, Michigan, Tracey Smith of Houghton Lake, Michigan, Christine
Haskell, Karen Stocking and husband Stacy and Chuck Pardue and wife Joi
all of Harrison, twenty-three great-grandchildren: Andrew and Courtney
Voshell, Dane, Rory, Stasia and Colin Endres-Bercher, Katelyn and
Elizabeth Haskin, Madison and Tanner Haskin, Cole and Morgan Bringold,
Riley, Remi and Reed Romanowski, Reise Audrey Haskin, Sarah Chevalier
and husband David, Danny Cuddie and wife Anna, Drew Smith, Addy and Matt
Haskell, Hilary Vasher and Emily Pardue, two great-great grandchildren:
Makaila and Conrad Cuddie, one sister, Pearl Egnor and husband Kerman of
Clearwater, Florida, one brother in law, Earl Pardue and wife Eleanor of
Calahan, Florida. Mrs. Pardue was preceded in death by her parents, one
son, Charles Eddie Pardue, one sister, Glenna, two brothers: Eula and
James, one grandson, John Pardue, granddaughter in law, Janice Haskin
and one great-great granddaughter, Maryann Marie Cuddie.
A celebration of life service for Audrey will be held Wednesday,
February 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison,
with Exec. Pastor Tim Fall officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove
Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Pardue may

DENISE ANN SCHROEDER
Denise Ann Schroeder
(Ferguson), age 71, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2008 after a
brief illness, at Oakleaf AFC Home in Harrison, Michigan. She was born
on July 6, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Russell & Lucille
(Ferguson) Schroeder Sr.
She is survived by her brothers: Russell & Nancy Schroeder; Gary
Schroeder; sisters: Karen & Terry Szymon; Joyce & Neil Freitas; many
nieces & nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Hall-Kokotovich
Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan with Pastor Robert Tibbits from Saginaw
Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial took place at Highland Cemetery,
Gladwin, Michigan.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at
Oakleaf AFC Home in Harrison for all their love and dedicated care they

AVA JEAN LYVERE

Ava Jean Lyvere, 76, of Harrison,
passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at her home. Ava was born
February 19, 1931 in Harrison, Michigan, the daughter of Edgar and Hilda
(Jones) Bringman. Ava had resided in Harrison her entire life. Ava was
united in marriage to Floyd A. Lyvere in 1984 in Harrison. Mrs. Lyvere
enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, floral arranging and wood chip
carving.
Surviving is her husband, Floyd A. Lyvere of Harrison, two sons:
Michael A. Brandon and wife Karen of Clyde, Ohio and John C. Brandon of
Harrison, two step-sons: LeRoy L. Lyvere of Saginaw and Neil F. Lyvere
and wife Judy of Hemlock, two step-daughters: Ann M. Reinke of Traverse
City, Michigan and Rosemary K. Greif and husband Timothy of Saginaw, one
brother, Edgar A. Bringman and wife Jean of Traverse City, Michael and
John’s father, Dale Brandon and wife Jan of Farwell, Michigan, nine
grandchildren: Andy Brandon and wife Tina, Jared Brandon and wife
Heather, Joseph Brandon and wife Rachael, Ryan Lyvere and wife Julie,
David Reinke and wife Michelle, Timothy Greif Jr., Jason Greif and
Dillon Greif, nine great-grandchildren: Avery Brandon, Sunni Brandon,
Carson Brandon, Charlotte, Gabriel Brandon, Joseph C. Lyvere, Ella
Lyvere, Jesse Lyvere and Max Lyvere. Ava was preceded in death by her
parents.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
from Faith Lutheran Church, Harrison, with Pastor Paul Fetzer
officiating. Burial is in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial
contributions may be considered to: Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

SUSAN MARIE MATHIS
Susan Marie Mathis, age 48, formerly of Harrison,
passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Gratiot Community
Hospital in Alma, Michigan. She was born the daughter of Ronald and Joan
(Douglas) Boucher on April 4, 1959 in Flint, Michigan. Susan had a
compassion for cats... especially lions. In her spare time, she loved to
draw and was known for liking the color red. Her greatest-compassion in
life was being able to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her father, Ronald (Ann) Boucher of Lupton,
Michigan and her mother, Joan (Charles "DC") Jackson of London,
Kentucky; two sons, David Lee Boucher of Harrison and Emery Allen Mathis
of Big Rapids, Michigan; her five brothers: Ronald Edwin Boucher, II of
St. Louis, Michigan, Ricky Jay (Linda) Boucher of Twining, Michigan,
Harold Gene (Becky) Boucher of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Randy Boucher of
Lupton, Michigan and Gerald Wyman (Penny) Boucher of Richmond, Kentucky;
her three sisters: Patricia Mason and Roxanne Maxwell, both of Harrison,
and Penny of Rose City, Michigan; her grandchild, Rosemary Marie Boucher
of Clare, Michigan.
Funeral services took place on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 11:00
a.m. from the First Congregational Church in Harrison with Pastor Jim
Noggle officiating. Burial took place in the Pleasant Plains Cemetery in
