THEODORE L.WARBOY
January 23, 1925 - December 14, 2009

Theodore L. Warboy,
84 of Harrison, passed away Monday, December 14, 2009 at his home.
Theodore was born January 23, 1925 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of
Austin and Viola (Hulbert) Warboy. Mr. Warboy was united in marriage to
the former Wanda E. Bigger in August of 1973 in Jackson, Michigan. Mrs.
Warboy preceded Theodore in death on September 23, 2009.
Theodore had resided in Harrison since 1986, coming from Ann Arbor.
Theodore was a member of American Legion Post 404 of Harrison, Loyal
Order of Moose-Lodge #2235 of Harrison and Fraternal Order of
Eagles-Aerie #3541 also of Harrison. Mr. Warboy was an avid musician,
playing rhythm guitar and singing lead for several local bands over the
years.
Surviving are three daughters: Kathleen Dean and husband David of
Black River, Michigan, Austina Crowley and husband Rick of Clearwater,
Florida and Priscilla Lee and husband William of Harrison, two sons:
Theodore Warboy and wife Cathie of Mesa, Arizona and Sam Warboy and wife
Pam of Grass Lake, Michigan, several grandchildren, many
great-grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, plus numerous
nieces and nephews. Mr. Warboy also was preceded in death by his
parents, one daughter, Victoria Rice and two sisters: Betty Schumacher
and Mary Dutton and the mother of Mr. Warboy’s children, Marjorie
(Moore) Warboy.
Memorial services for Mr. Warboy were held Saturday, December 19,
2009 at 1:00 p.m. from Harrison Loyal Order of Moose-Lodge #2235 with
the officers and members officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Plains
Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Warboy may

GLORIA MAY CZARNECKI
Gloria May Czarnecki,
age 55, of Harrison, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, December 19,
2009. She was born the daughter of John L. and Martha (Dickerson)
Vollmer on April 15, 1954 in Bowling Green, Ohio. On May 6, 1972, she
was united in marriage to Paul Czarnecki in Royal Oak, Michigan. Gloria
had also worked as a nurse’s aide in the home health care field for many
years. In her spare time, she enjoyed working crosswords and caring for
her grandchildren. She had lived in the Harrison area since 2001, where
she had moved from Detroit, Michigan.
She is survived by her two sons, Joseph Paul (Kelly) Czarnecki and
Richard Allen Czarnecki, all of Harrison; a daughter, Bertha Ann
Czarnecki of Harrison; a brother, Donald Vollmer of Weidman, Michigan;
five grandchildren: Mariah, Marquis, Makaily, Makenzie, and Joseph. She
was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Paul Czarneki, who
passed away on January 25, 1982.
In keeping in Gloria’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private
family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial

FRANK D. WILLIAMS III
Frank Douglas
Williams, III, age 57 of Harrison, Michigan, passed away on
Thursday, December 10, 2009 at his home in Harrison. He was born the son
of Frank Douglas and Beulah May (Lambert) Williams, II, on October 7,
1952 in Pontiac, Michigan. Mr. Williams was a self-employed carpenter,
and enjoyed inventing new ideas. In his spare time, he spent his time
fishing, hunting, and shooting skeet. He also had a passion for playing
guitar and harmonica.
Frank had lived in the Harrison area since 2007, where he had moved
from Lake Station, Michigan.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sooner Lee Earle of Grand
Rapids, Michigan and Jessica Ashley (Michael) Benjamin of Barryton,
Michigan; his two brothers, Robert (Dana) Williams also of Barryton,
Michigan and Ronald (Ann) Williams of Wichita Falls, Texas; his sisters:
Bonnie Monroe of Florida, Cathy (Ron) Boyette of Beebe, Arkansas,
Loretta (Howard) Trout of Garland, Texas, Vera Morrow of Somerset,
Kentucky, Cindy (Brian) Marksechzeski of Burkburnett, Texas; three
grandchildren: Sherry, Casey and Abby Benjamin Decker; one
great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by a niece, Nacole Winter.
In keeping with Frank’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no

JACK T. CONWAY
December 11, 1953 - December 17, 2009

Jack T. Conway, 56 of Harrison,
passed away, Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Covenant Health
Care-Harrison Campus, Saginaw, Michigan. Jack was born December 11, 1953
in Gladwin, Michigan, the son of Thomas and Mary (Pilgrim) Conway. Mr.
Conway was united in marriage to the former Christine Ballew on May 10,
1996 in Harrison.
Jack was a life resident of Harrison where he owned and operated
Conway’s Well Pump Service for fifteen years. Jack was a member of Local
1098-Laborers Union, where he worked the pipeline for a few years. Mr.
Conway’s passion was classic cars. He enjoyed collecting, restoring and
attending the car shows. Jack also enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting and
ice fishing.
Surviving is his loving wife of thirteen years, Chris Conway of
Harrison, three daughters: Rebecca Haskin and husband Wayne of Harrison,
Jessica Saxton and fiancee Ramon Fuertes of St. Thomas-U.S. Virgin
Islands, Amanda Conway and companion Jeremiah Guerrero of Harrison, two
sons: Brian Saxton and wife Kimberly of Harrison and Adam Conway and
wife Amy of Ashland, Missouri, eight grandchildren: Jasmine and Ryan
Haskin, Devin Conway, Matthew Zullo, Keigen and Shalynn Saxton, Allison
Conway and Goober, two step-grandchildren: Chase and Morgan Datzko, one
sister, Jeanette Bigelow of Alma, Michigan, two half-brothers: Tom
Bailey and wife Sue of DeWitt, Michigan, and Wally Bailey and wife Becky
also of DeWitt, three cousins: Mike Conway and wife Melanie of Harrison,
Steve Marston of Harrison and Glenn Wilcox also of Harrison. Jack was
preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Kaitlynn Conway.
Visitation and family and friends gathering took place on Sunday,
December 20, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral

THELMA HELEN McGUIRE
October 22, 1931 - December 15, 2009
Thelma Helen McGuire, 78 of Clare,
passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Tendercare of Clare. Thelma
was born October 22, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Wilbur and
Helen T. (Galnt) Harris. Thelma had resided in Harrison since 1991,
coming from Lake Wales, Florida.
Surviving Thelma are two daughters: Barbara Stoutenburg of Harrison
and Peggy Roberts and husband Allen of Santa Clara, California, five
sons: Thomas Ley and wife Shirley of Selma, North Carolina, William Ley
and wife Patti of Springhill, Tennessee, Phillip Ley of Warren,
Michigan, Richard Ley of Springhill and Michael Ley also of Springhill,
one brother, Bill Harris and wife Kathleen of Eaton, Ohio, fourteen
grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three step
great-grandchildren. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Thelma took place Saturday, December 19, 2009
at 1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Pastor Eric
Pittman officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. McGuire

HAZEL I. AUSTIN
Hazel I. Austin of St. Charles, Mich.
passed away Christmas Eve at the Saginaw Senior Care and Rehab., at age
87. She was born March 8, 1922 in Manton, Mich. She had worked 10 years
at the St. Johns High School Cafeteria. She had lived 17 years in
Harrison, on the lake. She had belonged to the Boon Baptist Church. She
loved to quilt. Her husband Leon Austin passed away in March of 1996.
Surviving are her 3 children and their spouses: D. Michael Maxwell
(Sharon), Tracey, MN., Linda (Barney) Watts, Chesaning, Karla (Jerry)
Vietti, St. Charles. 10 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. 1
sister and 3 brothers have passed away. Many nieces and nephews. Funeral
service will take place on Wed., December 30, 2009 at the Misiuk
Funeral Home of Chesaning at 1:00 pm. Burial at Carland Cemetery.
