Wellington S.
Richardson, age 85, of Harrison, passed away Thursday, December 11,
2008 in Lansing. Wellington was born the son of Ivan and Barbara (West)
Richardson on July 30, 1923 in Clio. He was united in marriage to Ella
H. Steel on September 28, 1946 in Flint. Wellington had worked as a
Custodial Technician at the Whiting Auditorium in Flint for 26 years. He
had lived in Flint for the majority of his life having moved to Kalkaska
for 12 years following his retirement. Wellington and Ella had then
moved to Harrison where they have lived for the past 16 years. He
belonged to the Clare Church of the Nazarene. Wellington enjoyed walking
his dog “Rusty” along the river near their home. He loved to watch Tiger
Baseball and U of M and Lions Football on Television. Wellington has
enjoyed hunting and deep-sea fishing while spending his winters in
Florida.
Wellington is survived by his wife Ella; his sons Ivan (Barbara) of
Flint, Daniel (Cindy) of Harrison, Raymond (Linda) of Edenville, and
Steven (Theresa) of Harrison; his brother Alston (Joyce) of Grayling;
sisters Patricia (Dale) Hoyle of Kokomo, Indiana, and Dorothy Abbey of
Flushing; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Wellington was
predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers.
Services will take place on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 11:00
A.M. at the Clare Church of the Nazarene, 10160 S. Grant Avenue, Clare
with pastor Jim Young officiating. Friends may meet Wellington’s family
on Monday from 2-5 and 7-9 P.M. for visitation at the Nazarene Church.
Burial will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Clare Church of the Nazarene.

ROY WILLIAMS SR.
Roy Earnest Williams
Sr., 71, of Harrison, passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at Mid
Michigan Medical Center-Clare. Mr. Williams was born May 30, 1937 in
Onondaga Township, Michigan, the son of Ray Ernest and Buelah May (Doxtader)
Williams. Roy was united in marriage to the former Gladys Louise McClure
on September 7, 1957 in Jackson, Michigan.
Mr. Williams had resided in Harrison since 1971, coming from
Jackson. Roy enjoyed fishing, archery, wood working, Deer hunting, was
an avid bowler and was always fond of spending time with his family.
Surviving is his loving wife, Gladys L. Williams of Harrison, one
son, Roy Williams Jr. and wife Cathy of Royalton, Kentucky, two
daughters: Corrina Price and husband Joseph of Bonita Springs, Florida
and Regina Gail Patterson of Harrison, three brothers: Roger Williams
and wife Carol of Harrison, Fred Williams and wife Lettie of Florida and
Joe Williams and wife Yvonne of North Carolina, one sister, Jennifer
Vergo and husband Louie of Skidway Lake, Michigan, twenty-one
grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and
nephews. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, one son,
Walter Williams, his son in law, Troy Patterson, two brothers: Thomas
and Warren Williams, three sisters: Wilma Morris, Norma Connell and
Barbara Prenose.
Funeral services for Mr. Williams were held Thursday, December 18,
2008 at 1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Pastor Tim
Tanner officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison.

JACK B. McNUTT
Jack B. McNutt, 83, of Harrison,
passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his
family. Mr. McNutt was born May 3, 1925 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of
George H. and Theda (Leedy) McNutt. Jack served his country in the
Merchant Marines. Mr. McNutt was united in marriage to his life-long
sweetheart, Margaret Kuepfer on February 15, 1947 in Lansing.
Jack retired to Harrison in 1985, coming from Lansing. He was employed
with Motor Wheel of Lansing, retiring with forty years of service. Mr.
McNutt was a member of First Congregational Church, Harrison, Harrison
Eagles Aerie #3541, Harrison Snow Riders Inc., Budd Lake Area
Association of Harrison, Budd Lake Improvement Board of Harrison and the
National Rifle Association. In his spare time, Jack taught snowmobile
safety, enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, hunting, fishing, swimming across
Budd Lake and helping his neighbors.
Surviving is his wife, Margaret McNutt of Harrison, one son, Jack H.
McNutt and wife Sharon also of Harrison, two daughters: Kay McBrien and
husband Jerry of Haslett, Michigan and Karen Scholl and husband Marty of
Harrison, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. McNutt
was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 19, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. from
First Congregational Church, Harrison, with Rev. Gerald Baxter
officiating. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.

MICHAEL J. RANDALL

Michael J. Randall, age 54, of
Harrison, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008. Michael was born the
son of Scott and Margaret (Warren) Randall on April 14, 1954 in
Coldwater. To some, Michael Randall led a blessed life. He has
participated in so many different activities and opportunities that life
has offered up to him. He won a gold medal for his participation in the
Special Olympics. He's seen more of the world than most of us. Michael
shared his faith with many as an alter server in his early years, to
attending services performed by the Pope at the Vatican in Rome. To
those that knew and loved Michael it was us who were truly blessed.
Michael is survived by his sister Rozanne "Randy" Thompson of
Clare; his brother Howard (Diane) Randall of Marshall; as well as
numerous other family and friends. Michael was predeceased by his
parents.
Services will take place on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 1:00 P.M.
at the Clare Congregational United Church of Christ. Burial will take
place in the Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha. Visitation will be held on
Monday, December 22 at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home
from 5-8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Mid Michigan Home

RUDOLPH DOUGLAS
Rudolph "Dewey" Douglas, 44, of
Harrison, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008 at his home. Mr. Douglas
was born December 13, 1964 in Bay City, Michigan, the son of Michael
Francis and Judith Ann (Pelletier) Douglas. Dewey was a life time
resident of Harrison. Dewey obtained his Master Mechanic Certification
and spent many years repairing automobiles. Mr. Douglas enjoyed bowling,
computer games and spent many hours sitting around bon fires with his
family and friends.
Surviving are two sons: Ryan Douglas and wife Faith of Virginia
Beach, Virginia and Michael J. Douglas of Rosebush, Michigan, his
mother, Judith A. Douglas and companion, Bill Ripley of Harrison, two
sisters: Cindy Outinen and husband Terry of Harrison and Connie Douglas
of Manistee, Michigan, one brother, Mickey Douglas and wife Sally of
Florida, two grandchildren: Samantha Douglas and a newborn grandson,
plus numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Douglas was preceded in death by
his father, Mr. Michael F. Douglas in 2002 and his sister, Cathleen
Marie Douglas in 2001.
Funeral services for Dewey were held Friday, December 19, 2008 at
1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Pastor Ron Callen
officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial
