RAYMOND L. DOWNING

   Raymond Luther Downing age 81 of Harrison, formerly of Holly passed away December 24, 2005 at Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center-Clare, Michigan. He was born the son of Arthur J. and Leota May (Sanders) Downing on April 13, 1924 in Union Township, Michigan. Ray wed June Zoe Dalby on March 12, 1942 in Goodrich, Michigan. He served honorably in the Army Air Force during WWII.
   Mr. Downing and family have resided in Harrison since 1953 coming from Holly, Michigan. He owned and operated Land of Lakes Motel for 28 years and worked with Lipovsky Builders for many years as a masonry finisher. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing Euchre and watching basketball and football.
   Ray leaves behind his loving wife June, one son; Michael (Janet) Downing of Beaverton, Michigan, two daughters; Carolyn Douglas and husband Don Rapson of Linwood, Michigan and Linda (Blaine) Brooks of Harrison, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great greatgrandson and one niece; Nora Jean DelAguaro of Northport, Florida. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Lamoyne Bontekoe.
   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund. CHARLES A. DECKER SR.

   Charles Alvin Decker Sr. age 73 of Harrison, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away December 26, 2005 at his home. He was born the son of Owen and Regina (Barber) Decker on September 4, 1932 in Durand, Michigan. Charles wed Brenda Hatfield on April 30, 1997 in Bloomfield, Michigan. In his past time he was an avid clock and flashlight collector.
   Surviving Charles are his loving wife Brenda, five sons; Charles A. (Dodie) Decker Jr. of Taylor, Michigan, Robert E. Decker and ex-wife Susan of River Rouge, Michigan, Ronald J. (Pawn) Decker of Harrison, Scott C. Neph of Flint, Michigan and Tim A. (Kimberly) Hatfield of Pontiac, Michigan, one daughter; Karen S. (Ernest) Murray of Lincoln Park, Michigan, one sister; Margie Ackles of Arizona, fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers; Elmer, Melvin, Leslie, Lester, Norman and Kenny Decker and two sisters; Lucille and Areballa.
   Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Elliott officiating. The family will be receiving friends on December 29, 2005 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm and 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Decker family.
